Spirit of the Marathon. This excerpt was written by
Corbitt and is entitled "A Willingness to Suffer."

Back in July 22-year-old Deanna Babcock was in the
middle of a typical swim workout when, inexplicably,
something went wrong. In the days to come her family
was told to consider making funeral arrangements. But
Deanna Babcock is very much alive today. Babcock
