July 18, 2010Today we’re wrapping up our two-part edition from endurance legend Marshall Ulrich. Last week we heard the first half of Ulrich’s Marathon & Beyond article titled, “Transformation of an Adventure Runner One Runner’s Journey From the Farm to Mount Everest,
Through Joyful and Scary Places in His Heart and Soul.” The first half of ulrich’s story in which he transformed himself from a farmboy to an elite ultramarathoner and adventure racer, and how he endured the death of his first wife. But Marshall admits that his success in endurance sports had become too important to him. Quote, “I had a hard time believing that not finishing an event might be more beneficial to my psyche, to my heart and soul.” This week we learn how that perspective changed.
