From September to November 2010, Joe Bonness’ season included Ironman Wisconsin, the Ironman World Championships, The Great Floridian iron-distance triathlon and Ironman Florida. The 55-year-old Floridian has been doing multiple fall-season Ironmans since the early 2000s, but his career in the sport stems back all the way ’80s. On top of that, Joe is fast. He’s had more podium finishes than most people will have in a lifetime, and he doesn’t show signs of slowing down. In this episode of Endurance Planet, we get to know Joe and his incredible story. Having lived in Boca Raton for 16 years, I've raced many times with Joe and shared the podium finishes. He is just amazing to watch compete and our mutual friend, Steve Tebon, and I keep him as our inspiration.
