Brilliant podcast! Loved everything about it.
Not being part of the Facebook crowd, what a great surprise! Awesome interview, the best I’ve heard with him. I was very impressed to hear him explain more about strength training and anaerobic workouts. If you read his Big Book, you’ll see where our confusion comes from. I am trying a different version of “slow weights” using light resistance and higher reps since I don’t have access to heavy weights. One thing for a future interview might be discussion on how to find the MAF range, which confuses people. For instance, the 180 formula has my MAF range as 135-145 BPM. But if I go off of Lucho’s method, where he subtracts from LT, I get a range of 145-155, which is significantly different. Keep up the great work!
I wasn’t sure what to expect as the interview started, but once you got him going it was fantastic. What a variety of interesting and informed opinions on all subjects of health and training. A true man of science who is not afraid to go against the grain and be a contrarian. Great podcast.
Excellent podcast. Thanks!
Tawnee – Great Podcast. Question for you, in the pod cast, in the carbs dialogue you mentioned specifically women could experience unhealthy issues if they eliminated Carbs completely. Can you elaborate more on what you mean by unhealthy?
Hi,
When Dr. Maffetone is talking about pace, is he saying min/miles?
