congrats Tawnee on your finish in Canada. sounds like you were pretty close to you goals, yea? I own a winery and strongly encourage drinking wine both before and after a big race. Thats what i do anyway.
So i have a question for you and/or some of your guests.
i recently (like 2 weeks ago) found your podcast on i tunes and now listen while running, the info you give is awesome. i am interested in running to the top of Kilimanjaro, but cannot find any info on the web about this sort of thing. i find the records etc., about the pros, but am having a hard time finding out if it is do-able for amateur runners. One of my main question is about what sort of fitness comparison is a run like that? Is being in 100mile shape sufficient to tackle a 40 mile run with 16,000ft total gain starting at about 11,000ft and reaching over 19,000ft?
also, do you ever do episodes about non-conventional distance races? some great ones out there.
thanks, jesse
when you talk about non conventional distance races, what do you mean? Also, can you toss your other question up at http://www.facebook.com/enduranceplanet?
Hi, just stumbled on your page from reddit. It’s not an article I would typically read, but I loved your perspective on it. Thanks for making a blog post worth reading!
